Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Apex & Abyss ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you play our game. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices.

The short version: Apex & Abyss backs up your game progress to the cloud so it survives a reinstall or a new device. By default the game signs in with an anonymous account — a random per-install ID not linked to your real identity. You can optionally link a Google or email/password account to secure your save and sign in on other devices; if you do, we collect the email address (and, for Google, the display name) tied to that account. We never see your password or payment-card details. No ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifier, no location, no contacts. We do not sell your data.

1. What We Collect

To provide cloud backup of your game, Apex & Abyss collects a small, specific set of data — and nothing more:

We explicitly do NOT collect your name, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising ID, photos, microphone or camera access, or payment-card details. (We receive an email address only if you email support or choose to link an email/Google account, as described above.) The gameplay analytics described above are anonymous and first-party — stored in our own database and tied only to your anonymous ID; the game uses no third-party analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no ads. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.

3. Optional Account Sign-In

By default you play as an anonymous guest and your progress still backs up to the cloud. If you want to secure your save and be able to sign in on another device, you can optionally link a permanent account in Settings → Cloud Save → Account:

Linking an account is entirely optional and does not change what game data is stored — it only attaches a permanent, recoverable login to the save that already exists. You can sign out at any time in Settings, which returns the device to anonymous guest play.

4. In-App Purchases & Virtual Currency

Apex & Abyss offers optional in-app purchases. You can buy Diamonds (the in-game premium currency) in one-time packages, and there is an optional auto-renewing Monthly Pass subscription. Purchases are entirely optional — Diamonds are also earned through gameplay, and the full game is playable without spending money. All purchases are processed through Google Play Billing; we never receive or have access to your payment card details, which are handled solely by Google. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until you cancel them, and you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play Store. Virtual currency and items have no real-world monetary value and are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Google Play's refund policy.

5. Gacha / Randomized Rewards

The game includes a summoning system with randomized outcomes. Pull rates are displayed within the app on every summon banner. Current base rates are: Legendary 1%, Epic 10%, Rare 40%, Common 49%. A pity system guarantees an Epic or higher within 30 pulls and a Legendary within 90 pulls.

Apex & Abyss is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information (for example, by emailing support), please contact us at the address below and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold. The only data tied to you is your anonymous account's game-progress backup (and a leaderboard entry, if you submitted one) — none of which identifies you personally. You can delete it yourself with the in-game controls, or request access or deletion by emailing us (see Data Deletion). If you have corresponded with support, you may request a copy or deletion of that correspondence at any time. We do not sell personal information. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

All network connections the game and website make use HTTPS encryption in transit. Your save data is protected by your device's own storage protections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new sign-in options or change what data the game stores. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, with a notice in the game or on our website. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
